A report from the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance has raised concerns about rising levels of xenophobia in the UK …

“It is no coincidence that racist violence is on the rise in the UK at the same time as we see worrying examples of intolerance and hate speech in the newspapers, online and even among politicians.”

Christian Ahlund, the chair of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance

You will always have a segment of society that will be racist, it's a sad fact of the human condition. But that does not mean, that it's expression in public, should ever be tolerated. The way to stamp this out is to make it socially unacceptable to express those sentiments.

Do not tolerate racism or hate crime.
