Boris Johnson has gone to Europe for a meeting with the other EU Foreign Ministers, his first international duty since becoming Foreign Secretary.

It'll certainly be an uphill struggle for him to convince the other ministers that he is the right man for the job given his track record thus far. His stance is that the UK's exit from the EU does not mean it will be leaving Europe or "abandoning" its friends.

Whether his fellow foreign ministers fell the same way is something we'll have to see. Certainly the French would like to see us leave as soon as possible.
