The race for the Tory leadership and for the job of PM has only two runners now. Theresa May and Andrea Leadsom.

And Andrea Leadsom appears to have just shot herself in the foot big time. In an interview for the Times she said that she would make a better PM than Theresa May because she is a mother and Theresa May isn't. And this just a few days after Theresa May had said she and her husband had been unable to have children. It displays all the sensitivity and political astuteness of a concrete block, and certainly not the attributes of a person you'd want as a Prime Minister in these times.
