In the 15 days since the vote to leave the EU reported hate crime has increased by 42%, up by 915 reported offences against the same two weeks from last year.
The human side of this is what happened to a Polish family who have lived in the UK for 10 years. On Wednesday night the shed in their garden was burned to the ground. Why? Because some "person" decided that they shouldn't be here and decided to use intimidation and violence to force them from their home.
Should we tolerate this?
Never! 16 days ago this sort of behaviour was not acceptable. It is still unacceptable. Brexit changes nothing. If you see this sort of behaviour anywhere, show the people responsible that it is still not tolerated.
