To be honest it's difficult to see where he would go from here. He's not aligned to any of the major parties and UKIPs sole purpose in existence was to get Britain out of the EU, which they now somewhat unexpectedly achieved.

For UKIP, there's no clear cut successor especially as the current/former deputy chairperson, Suzanne Evans is currently suspended. And their only MP, Douglas Carswell has said he's not interested in the job.

Having done the damage it would be easy to see UKIP rapidly becoming an non-entity.
